Putting Ward 4 Residents First

The best way to understand what’s been happening on City Council is to review the public record—what was said, how meetings were conducted, and why it matters for Ward 4. Every statement here links to a meeting video or public document so you can verify it yourself.

Ward 4 Deserves Better Representation

For several years, Jeff Capell has chosen confrontation over collaboration.

• Jeff has skipped the city’s Strategic Planning Sessions for years.  We have not had representation since 2020.

• He opposes community amenities, for kids, if they don’t show a city profit.

• He even sued the City of Blue Ash — the same taxpayers he is elected to serve — and accepted a settlement.

• He has alienated nearly every other member of Council — they’ve said things like:

"You insult this body.  And then you come back and want us to vote for something for you.  About you.  Hell no!"

These actions aren’t just discourteous; they make our ward look unprofessional and unrepresented. When one member refuses to cooperate, the entire community suffers.

We deserve a representative who participates, respects others, and works for Blue Ash — not against it.

Ward 4 Deserves Better

For years, residents of Ward 4 have watched Jeff Capell turn council meetings into personal battles instead of public service.

He interrupts, insults, and refuses to collaborate — even with people who agree with him. His hostility has alienated nearly every other member of council and much of city staff. When relationships are this broken, nothing meaningful can get done.

Effective representation requires teamwork. It means showing up to meetings, participating in strategic planning, and working respectfully with colleagues to find solutions. Jeff Capell has chosen instead to attack, belittle, and divide.

Blue Ash deserves better. Our ward deserves a voice that contributes — not one that constantly derails. We can respect Jeff as a person while acknowledging a simple truth: his approach no longer serves the residents he was elected to represent.

It’s time for new leadership that restores cooperation, professionalism, and trust at City Hall.

He simply cannot represent us anymore.  We deserve better.

"I'm totally offended that you offend all of this body"

"You offend our administration"

"You claim that we hide things"

"You disparage us"

"You insult us"

"You even went out on our Facebook sites posted as such"

We deserve better

The people of Ward 4 have every right to expect professionalism, cooperation, and basic respect from their elected representative. We don’t expect perfection, but we do expect maturity and teamwork.

Instead, we’ve watched years of dysfunction and hostility that have stalled progress and embarrassed our community. Council should be a place for ideas, not insults — for service, not self-promotion.

Blue Ash residents are thoughtful, hard-working people who care deeply about our city’s future. We deserve a council member who listens, collaborates, and shows up ready to work — not one who argues, disrupts, and divides.

Ward 4 deserves leadership that brings people together, not tears them apart. We can do better, and together, we will.
